Equity Pharma Holdings builds the biggest office/warehouse building of its kind in Route 21 Corporate Park- Abacus DIVISIONS
Equity Pharma Holdings, a privately owned South African-based specialist Pharmaceutical and Medical Technology business, is in the process of developing a R40 million office warehouse block in the multi-billion Rand office park development in Irene, Route 21 Corporate Park.
According to Org Geldenhuys, managing director of property marketing and development company, Abacus DIVISIONS, Equity Pharma Holdings purchased seven stands at Route 21 Corporate Park and, after consolidating the stands, is now turning them into what will be the biggest warehouse/office combination in the office park.
Equity Pharma Holdings is focused on the marketing of a vitally important and unique range of specialist products aimed at enhancing the well-being of people.
Johann Willemse, MD of Equity Pharma, said the building is “on target” and should be completed by the end of September.
Commenting further, Abacus DIVISIONS’ Geldenhuys said Equity Pharmaceuticals chose Route 21 Corporate Park due to its aesthetic appeal, enhanced security, specialised and dedicated dark fibre network and its ease of access to key highways and major arterial roads.
Werner Alberts, from architect firm, Tower Design Studio, said the company was tasked to design a state of the art new warehouse and office facility for Equity Pharma Holdings. “Part of our brief was to design the office and warehouse as separate buildings in a modular design and to make the building as flexible for the client as possible, giving staff access from Sovereign Drive, close to the main gate, and to hide the warehouse behind the offices – providing its own separate entrance. The architecture is contemporary and simplistic, but with the careful use of dynamic components, which manage to successfully portray the image of the young and upcoming pharmaceutical company, while conforming to the estate’s architectural designs.”
Abacus DIVISIONS is instrumental in the marketing of properties and stands within the multi-billion Rand Route 21 Corporate Park near Irene, a high security/access controlled business park. The office park is now almost 90% completed and includes mostly A grade office developments and very stylish office buildings. There are also small components of neat industrial and warehousing developed within the office park.
